Meet Alison Kellerman, LCMHC

Alison Kellerman, LCMHC

As a licensed clinical mental health counselor, I believe that each developmental stage of life brings new challenges that we may need help working through as they surface. I have over 20 years of counseling experience working in both public and private k-12 schools and most recently a college level setting. In addition, I have experience working in community mental health and other outpatient therapy settings with children, adolescents and adults. My experiences have provided me a deep understanding of the unique challenges of being a student as well as those working in the education field.

I utilize a warm, open, collaborative approach where we utilize individual client strengths to develop treatment goals together. I also feel building a sense of hope, using humor, and art can also be useful tools. Other approaches may include elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skill building, Solution Focused Therapy, or EMDR (Eye Movement Desenitization and Reprocessing Therapy).
